Reflecting on the GIP Presentations Night
On Monday, September 17, members of the GIP trips to Nicaragua, Argentina, Italy, and Iceland presented information and memories from the GIP trips they went on the year prior. I, as a member of the Argentina trip, reflected about visiting concentration camps from the years of the last dictatorship in Argentina. While my group was talking, a video with images from our trip was playing in the background. I immediately was taken back to the trip, and I greatly missed all of the friends I made there. I really hope they are able to visit us this coming year.
I really enjoyed hearing about the other trips and all that they got to see and do. Even though the Argentina trip was life-changing and one of the coolest things I have ever done, I would have been happy going on any of those trips as well, for they all sounded really interesting and fun. I am greatly impressed by the Global Initiatives Program each year it creates these trips, and this year was no different. GIP is a truly special and unique program that I hope future Poly students will take advantage of.
